Different cultures and lineages have varying protocols around becoming a Shaman, but what is universally true is shamans are here to help lift the community to a higher vibration and understand their truth without judgment or stereotypes. Many healers are shamans and they don’t even know it yet. You could be called to become a shaman if you experience any of the following:
You consider yourself an empath- you are sensitive to other emotions and you can feel the emotions around you and the energy. You can easily gauge if someone is hurting and can absorb the energies from others.
You’re extremely intuitive- you can trust your intuition to make the right decisions for you most of the time when your intuition is telling you something it is always right.
You don’t fit in with others- you don’t seem to fit in with anyone you’re different and you don’t go along with the crowd.
You’re very creative- it’s simple for you to express her emotions in a creative way your creative juices are always flowing and you can easily tap in to that side of you.
You feel a strong calling to help others- your entire life you’ve known that you are special and are meant to help others just don’t understand how yet. Everyone believes that you’re the best person to go to for problems you’re easy to speak with and people find themselves opening up to you.
If you answered yes to any of the above five examples then it’s a strong chance you might be called to become a shaman and to help the world through your healing and knowledge. So how exactly does one become a shaman?
Find a teacher
Finding a teacher will set you on the right path to becoming a shaman. Although finding the right teacher may be difficult, once you find them, they’re able to teach you their wisdom and learnings that will propel you a lot farther ahead than if you were doing it alone.
Be prepared to be committed to the path. It will require you to spend your time and energy learning the practice especially if you find the right teacher for you. All great things come from commitment, and becoming a shaman is no exception. The good news is that you don’t have to change who you are or make drastic sacrifices to do so.
Join a Shaman School
Joining a shaman school will set you on the right path to becoming a shaman. The school will guide you through every step of the way and help you to relieve blockages and connect you with your own source of spiritual energy.
